From Inflammation to Healing: The Oil Swap That Changes Everything
Why I Always Tell My Clients to Ditch Seed Oils and Processed Foods
One of the first things I recommend to my clients—especially those struggling with fatigue, brain fog, stubborn weight, or mood swings—is this:
👉 Cut out seed oils and processed foods.
These two are often the hidden culprits behind inflammation, hormonal imbalance, and gut issues.
Most ultra-processed foods today are loaded with:
-
Refined sugar
-
Processed white flour
-
Cheap seed oils like sunflower, canola, corn, and soybean oil
Seed oils are highly unstable and oxidise easily, especially when heated. This triggers inflammation in the body, which over time can lead to chronic conditions like heart disease, dementia, cancer, and digestive problems.
What I Recommend Instead
For cooking, baking, and everyday use, I guide my clients to switch to real, stable, and nourishing fats like:
🫒 Extra virgin olive oil – antioxidant-rich and great for dressings or low-heat cooking
🥑 Avocado oil – a neutral oil with a high smoke point
🥥 Coconut oil – anti-inflammatory and perfect for baking or sautéing
🧈 Butter or ghee – rich in fat-soluble vitamins and supports hormone health
🍖 Animal fats – like tallow, lard, or duck fat, which are stable and nutrient-dense
🌰 Macadamia oil – delicious and full of healthy monounsaturated fats
Simple Swaps = Big Results
I’ve seen dramatic shifts in my clients’ energy, digestion, skin, and even mental clarity just from making this one change.
If you’re serious about improving your health, this is where I suggest you start:
Read labels
Ditch the processed oils
Choose real, whole fats
Your body knows what to do with real food. Give it that chance.
